Please come out and show your support! H1N1 Update: The H1N1 Flu continues to take its toll on the schools and communities around the area. Our cases of flu like illnesses had increased during the middle of the week but as of today the student count of those absent with the flu like symptoms seems to be on a slight decline. Some days during the past few weeks we have averaged about 5% of our students absent which is very close to our normal numbers for this time of year. However, we did spike up to about 15% absent for a couple of days before dropping back with some lower numbers. We want to remind all parents to monitor their children to avoid sending them to school with fevers and/or respiratory congestion. If a child has either it is recommended that they not attend school and that the details in the Note from the Nurse are followed. There are some unofficial reports of H1N1 in our school but the Administration does not have any confirmed cases by the Clay County Health Department. We did have our H1N1 Flu Clinic on Friday, Nov. 6th at the school for those who wanted the shot.
